Back in September of 2010, I visited the since-relocated Freestyle Mondays @ Sin Sin/Leopard Lounge and heard some of the best hip-hop I've ever seen live (and then wrote about it on my other blog as I wish it occurred). Featuring Ill Spokinn, Rabbi Darkside, Hired Gun and Appl Juic, as well as some amazing talents whose names I didn't know, it was a hip-hop mecca. Emcees, from all over the place, lined up to grab the mic, spitting for about a minute to whatever the live band was playing. I also got to meet Hannibal Buress, who happened to be there to see his friend go on. Here are some pics from the night:
Only 2 months since my last visit, and Baby Toddler Maren is growing so quickly. She's becoming an actual human! It's amazing, the strides she's made: now, she's a strong walker, can speak (though still not as well as I can) and likes to show off her toys, of which she has MANY. I am SO proud of her and her parents, and am amazed at their ability to teach and support a tiny human. You can see from her outfits that she's already having great values instilled!
I had the extreme pleasure of shooting Sarah Hartshorne back in the beginning of December. I was a little nervous, since she'd appeared on America's Next Top Model, Season 9, and I figured was kind of a big deal, but any worries I had were in vain. Sarah was the most down to earth and fun model I've ever worked with. Nothing fazed her, not even when some young teens asked to pose with her and then grabbed her ass after the shot! She was a complete soldier too, dealing with 30 degree temperatures in a sleeveless dress. Thanks to Brad Graham for the excellent assisting and lighting work! Here's a couple of my favorite shots:
Baby Maren is now 18 months old, which means she's still pretty adorable. In six months, she'll hit the terrible twos, which is when toddlers are horrible and impossible to deal with. Or at least that's what my mom said about me. Braving the Lincoln Tunnel and the cold, I went to Jersey to see my friends and baby toddler Maren. Delicious dinner, good conversation, and photos transpired.
Two of my great friends from college, Dee and Martin, had a beautiful baby girl around Memorial Day, 2009. These are some pics of her, at about 6 months. It was like she had a 6th sense about when the camera was aimed at her; it was almost impossible to take a candid of her. Such a ham, too!
Dug these up from about a year ago. I was on a shoot in Jersey City, and during some downtime, did some test shots of Robert, former art director @ Getty Images.
